Project Name: Dr. Charles Drew Elementary School Modernization Project
Contract #: 11893
Bid Date: March 12th 2019 @ 12:00 PM.
DVBE Goal: 3%

General Work Description: General School Modernization and reconstruction including ADA Access, Seismic Upgrades and Fire/Life-Safety upgrades, including but not limited hazardous material abatement, demolition of interior finishes, demolition of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, demolition and installation of new fire sprinkler system, restroom upgrades, new flooring, new ceilings, new wall finishes, new doors and hardware, new windows, new roof, new mechanical units, new lighting, new fire alarm, new security system, new clock speaker system, new exterior paint, new trash enclosure and new front entry with security gate. Interim housing scope includes preparation of upper play yard to receive new Interim Housing units including but not limited to: widening existing driveway, removal of trees and site furnishings, sanitary sewer replacement along Pomona Avenue, AC replacement, AC buildup for leveling portables, installation of new electrical pole for power and low voltage, new power panel, utility trenches for plumbing and electrical, new asphalt landings at ramps, and new chain link fence enclosure. Modifications at the Interim Housing units also include but are not limited to: restroom accessories, classroom cubbies, signage, connections for plumbing, installation of electrical and fire alarm systems. 

Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary.  Arana Group Inc.will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.

GENERAL BID REQUIREMENTS & NOTES: In order to bid for this project, your CSLB License must be active and you must be registered with the D.I.R (Department of Industrial Relations). No contractor or subcontractor may be listed in a bid or awarded a contract for a public works project unless registered with the DIR as required by Labor Code section 1725.5. **Note: This Project is a Prevailing Wage Project.
Project Labor Agreement: All Bidders are hereby notified that the District has a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) in effect on the Project and all contractors and subcontractors bidding this project will be required to comply with the PLA.
