General work description: The work to be done at Mattole Road PM 40.98 consists of reconstructing the roadway embankment with deep subdrainage, underdrain installation, and restoring the roadway. The work to be done at Mattole Road PM 42.76 consists of constructing a mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall, storm drain and underdrain installation, and restoring the roadway. The work to be done at Mattole Road PM 43.62 consists of pulverizing the roadbed, storm drain installation, and restoring the roadway.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Tree services; Asphalt supplier; Pipe supplier; Drainage systems supplier; Storm water systems supplier; Fencing supplier; Pavement markers supplier; Construction staking; Traffic control supplier; Construction area signs; Traffic control system; Traffic flaggers; Pilot car; Temp k-railing; Plane asphalt concrete; Clearing & grubbing; Roadway excavation; Grading; Structure excavation; Structure backfill; Imported borrow; Rock blanket; Hydroseeding; Erosion control; Temp erosion control; Aggregate base; Asphalt concrete (place); Ac dike and misc paving; Roadside sign; Corrugated metal pipe (CSP); Permeable material; Downdrain; Plastic pipe; Corrugated steel pipe inlet & riser; Rock slope protection; RSP fabric; Fencing; Thermoplastic traffic stripe & marking; SWPPP planning; Transfer dump truck; Super 10 dump truck; Retainer walls; Landscaping contractor; Construction equipment rental; Heavy equipment rental.

The DBE Contract goal is 10%percent. The estimated cost of the project is $1,326,560.00. Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement.
