General work description: Cold place AC pavement and place RHMA (Gap Graded).

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DVBE & SBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Asphalt Supplier; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control System; Traffic Flaggers; Pilot Car; Reset, Adjust Roadway Items; Plane Asphalt Concrete; Penetration Treatment & Prime Coat (Tack Coat); Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking; Pavement Marking; Bottom Dump Trucking; Super 10 Dump Truck; Street Sweeping Truck; Trucker; Laboratory Testing and Analysis

The DVBE Contract goal is 3% percent. The estimated cost of the project is $3,890,000.00. Plans and specifications are available at Caltrans http://ppmoe.dot.ca.gov/des/oe/weekly-ads/oe-project.php?q=04-3Q4204. You will need to login and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement to access plans. Specifications are available in this plan room.

Requirements: No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
