Project Description: This project consists of the replacement of approximately 26,968 existing water mains with new 8-inch, 12-inch, 16-inch, 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch and 42- inch water mains. Removal of existing pressure regulating station and installation of a new pressure regulating station, installation of concrete vaults within Caltrans right of way, trenchless construction within MTS Limits of Operation, street resurfacing, curb ramps, and all other incidental work. The scope of work also includes new storm drain inlets and pipes associated with the curb ramp improvements at the intersection of 30th Street and Redwood Street, and all other incidental work.

If bonds are required, LHWS will pay the cost of the bond to a maximum of 1% of the contract value. LHWS is willing to assist all SBE, DVBE, MBE, WBE, SLBE, ELBE AND OBE subcontractors/suppliers in obtaining equipment, supplies, materials, bonds, lines of credit, and/or insurance. LHWS is willing to work with all qualified subcontractors/suppliers to establish acceptable delivery schedules, when work requirements permit. The schedule is the sole responsibility of LHWS and will not be mutually agreed upon. Subcontractors will be required to abide by the terms of the AGC Master Labor Agreements and to execute an agreement utilizing the latest L. H. Woods & Sons, Inc.
