General work description: The work shall consist of the reconstruction of existing asphalt concrete roadway using full depth reclamation and hot mix asphalt concrete. Improvements also include construction of raised medians, landscape and irrigation, construction of accessible curbramps, replacement of severely damaged curb and gutter and valley gutters, and signage and striping improvements including solar powered rectangular rapid flashing beacons. Detailedwork specifications are included in the Contract Documents.
Quotes for Services and Supplies requested for the following items for bid including, but not limited to: Potholing, Traffic Control, Changeable Message Sign, SWPPP, Dust Control, Clearing and Grubbing, Remove Tree and Grind Stump, Sawcut and Remove Existing Concrete, Asphalt Concrete Grinding, Concrete Sidewalk, Stamped Colored Concrete Sidewalk, Concrete Median Curb, Concrete Median Cap, Concrete Curb Ramps and Returns, Commercial Drive Approach, Detectable Warning Devices, Concrete Valley Gutter, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Full Depth Reclamation with Cement, Increase or Decrease in Cement for FDR-C Method, Roadway Excavation and Subgrade Preparation, Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete, Class II Aggregate Base, Adjust Sewer Manholes to Finish Grade, Adjust Storm Drain Manholes to Finish Grad, Remove and Reconstruct Chain Link Fence, Remove and Reconstruct Chain Link Rolling Gate, Remove and Reconstruct Wood Fence, Reset Survey Monument, Signing, Striping, and Pavement Markings, Install Flashing Warning Signs, photo cells, controllers, actuators, and poles as necessary. Griffith Company will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
Requirements: Griffith Company is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons, and Carpenters Unions. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Griffith’s requirements. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the Estimator.
