The work is located in the City of Calipatria, County of Imperial, State of California. The City of Calipatria has received federal funding to improve Date Street between Highway 111/Sorenson Avenue and Railroad Avenue. The project extends approximately 1,300 ft. from Highway 111/Sorenson Avenue to Railroad Avenue along the north side of Date Street. The proposed project includes demolition and removal of existing AC pavement, sidewalks, and driveways. The project also includes installation of new PCC sidewalk, curb and gutter, PCC driveways, new AC pavement, crack sealing, slurry sealcoat and new pavement striping.

REQUIREMENTS: Granite Construction Company is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite Construction will assist with bonding costs for subcontractors. Subcontractors must possess a current contractors license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting Granite standard requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and subcontract agreement are available upon request.
Subcontractors must also be registered with a current DIR number.
(For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5). |
