SLO 46 – Wye Segment
Construction on State Hwy 46 in San Luis Obispo County
at and near Cholame on Rte 41 from Rte 41/46 Separation
to 0.8 Mile North of 41/46 Separation and on Rte 46
from 0.8 Mile West of Davis Road to 0.5 Mile West of Antelope Road
This project is a continuation of the Cholame Segment which consists of converting the existing conventional 2-lane highway to a 4-lane divided expressway along 3.8 miles of the SLO 46 Corridor as well as 0.8 miles of the SR 41. Construction will include 4 bridges, demolition, grading, roadway excavation, drainage improvements, bridge barrier, utility installation, traffic signage and striping, and erosion control.
Project Timeline: Currently under construction until January 2026.
