Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Drainage Systems Supplier, Traffic Control Supplier, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Traffic Flagger, Reset, Relocate, Adjust, Modify Roadway Items, Plane Asphalt Concrete, Clearing & Grubbing, Hydroseeding, Erosion Control, Temporary Erosion Control, Aggregate Base (AB), Pavement Reinforcing Fabric, Minor Concrete Structure, Roadside Sign, Reinforced Concrete Pipe "Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate", Saw Cutting, Temporary Fencing, Thermoplastic Traffic Striping & Marking, Pavement Marker, Lead Compliance, SWPPP Planning, Street Sweeping Truck, Trucker Broker, Trucker, Construction Equipment Rental.
The DBE Contract goal is 20% percent. Federal-aid project no.: ACHSST-S001(659). Please let us know which bid items will be covered in your proposal and if you can help us meet the DBE Goal 20%. Requirements:
No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
