is seeking DBEs Qualified Sub-Contractors on the following Project
Project: SJC New Taxiway Victor Phase 1

General work description: The Project includes a base bid and two (2) bid alternates, which involves construction of approximately 260,000 square feet (SF) of new Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) Taxiway V pavement which includes two (2) taxiway stub connectors. V5 & V6. The project will also include coordination and protection (no affect) of existing FAA navigational aids (NAVAIDS), Instrument Landing System (ILS) and the existing compass calibration pad. In addition, Project includes installation of drainage improvements, grading improvements, and installation of new airfield lighting and signage.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Asphalt Supplier(Bulk Item); Concrete & Cement Supplier; Construction Staking; Traffic Control Supplier; Plane Asphalt Concrete; Remove Concrete; Roadway Excavation; Hydroseeding; Erosion Control; Temporary Erosion Control ; Lime Treatment; Aggregate Base (Ab); Cement Treated Base; Concrete Pumping; Asphalt Concrete; Paving Asphalt (Asphalt Concrete); Portland Cement & Concrete Pavement; Clean & Seal Pavement Joints – Rout & Seal Cracks; Minor Concrete Structure; Reinforced Concrete Pipe; "Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate; Saw Cutting; Painted Traffic Striping & Marking; Remove Pavement Marking & Traffic Stripes; Signal & Lighting (Furnishing, Installing, Modifying Or Removing ); Message Signs, Lighting & Sign Illumination; Swppp Planning; Super 10 Dump Truck; Street Sweeping Truck ; Hazardous Waste Trucking; Construction Staking (Surveying)
All subcontractors mush agree to the City's PLA for this project
The DBE Contract goal is 4.1 percent.
The estimated cost of the project is $22,000,000.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
