General work description: The project. in general, consists of preparing and implementing water pollution control plan and construction site management; providing construction area signs; designing, installing, maintaining and removing temporary local de-watering system; clearing and grubbing; structure excavation and backfill; removing existing drainage inlets and re~connecting existing drain pipes; construction of reinforced concrete f1oodwalls and outle1 structure; modifying existing reinforced concrete outfall structure; earthwork including channel bank excavatlon1 transporting suitable excavated materials to District’s designated site within project limits for placement1 moisture conditioning, grading and compaction; removing, salvaging1 placing and compacting existing Class 2 aggregate base; fumishing, placing, and compacting Class 2 aggregate base and asphalt concrete; fumishing and installing articulated concrete block (ACB) mats; installing chain-link fences and gates;

The Contract goal is 15% MBE and 5% WBE

No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
