Papich Construction Company is seeking Disadvantaged Business Enterprises – Request for Hauling Proposals:
Papich Construction Company Inc hereby requests bids from qualified businesses for transportation of Earthwork, aggregates into the above-mentioned project. Businesses must meet the qualifications of a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) performing a commercially useful function to perform the described work as follows:
Project: 05-3307C4 Highway 46, Cholame
Re: Transportation of asphalt and aggregates to project
Load site: Onsite: Address, 17895 CA-46, Cholame
Unloading site: Onsite at New alignment of CA 46
Duration: Project to begin 1st quarter 2024 with on and off periods extending through 2025.
Materials and transport methods requiring quote:
1) Class 1 base material and native soil
• 30 Each minimum per shift, Double belly dumps, semi belly dumps, which haul a minimum of 25 net tons. With 10 minutes to load and 10 minutes to unload, or hourly quote.
-Trucks must be available with a maximum of 2 days’ notice and meet the required number of trucks, any damages due to truck shortages will be back charged to DBE hauler.
-Hourly rates may not exceed $150.00 per hour and fixed for the project duration.

Requirements: At the time of the bid, all subcontractors must possess a valid and relevant California Contractors License, a valid DIR registration number, meet the project’s minimum insurance requirements, and be 100% bondable. All subcontractor, supplier, and trucking proposals must be in strict accordance with the project plans, specifications, and any addenda issued. In addition, all Supplier and Subcontractors will be required to execute Papich’s standard subcontract or purchase order agreement (available upon request). Waiver of Subrogation will be required. Papich is a signatory contractor and will require a one-time job agreement for any non-union Subcontractors. Submission of a proposal shall constitute subcontractor, supplier, or trucker acceptance of all terms as listed above. Any attempted deviation or revision to said terms shall not be recognized by Papich. Papich can offer DBE firms assistance with bidding this contract including but not limited to: reducing items of work into smaller scopes, providing reimbursement for payment/performance bond premiums, and providing assistance obtaining materials. All requests for assistance must be made prior to the project bid date. Additionally, DBE firms must possess a valid and current certification to be considered for this contract.
